ACIM (A Course in Miracles For Dummies Lesson 134)

natural intervention of animals and inanimate objects (Joshua 10:9-15). In addition to demonstrating the power of God, some of these miracles served particular functions in the Bible, such as providing food for a hungry crowd or removing obstacles to a missionary's work.

Despite their diverse characteristics, all of these miracles are part of a larger biblical narrative that seeks to show us God's power and His love. A Christian should seek out miracles as a means of strengthening his or her faith and as an opportunity to witness to others about the greatness of God.

Christians should be careful to avoid the two extremes of focusing only on the miraculous and neglecting all other events that occur in the natural world. A Christian should also be aware of the many ways that miracles can be interpreted and misused, as well as to understand the context in which these incidents occurred.

Jesus performed many miracles as a way to confirm his identity as the Son of God. For example, when John the Baptist sent his messengers to ask Jesus if He was the promised Messiah, Jesus answered by performing several miracles that validated his claims. These miracles included raising the widow's son from the dead, healing the deaf and blind, and curing leprosy.

The purpose of these miracles was not only to substantiate Jesus' claims but also to provide a glimpse of what would happen on a grand, universal scale when Jesus Christ came to establish the kingdom of God and the new heaven and earth.

While the frequency of Jesus' miracles was not high, they were not infrequent enough to discourage the Jewish crowds from believing him. After each miracle, Jesus asked the crowds to stay quiet and then used the occasion of that event to teach his closest followers about his vocation as the Savior who would suffer, die, and rise again. a course in miracles

What is a miracle for me?

A miracle is something big (or small) that catches the eye of God. It could be as simple as a miracle meal delivered to your door or as extravagant as a miracle healing that will change your life forever.

A miracle can be a little elusive, so be patient. It may take time for the big picture to unfold, but it is possible to experience miracles in your own life.

One of the best ways to increase your chances of seeing a miracle is by making a major lifestyle change. For example, you may want to get out of debt or cut back on your spending in order to free up money for God to work His magic on your behalf.

Similarly, you may want to move away from turbulent cities that could spell disaster for your family and livelihood. It is also a good idea to seek out the presence of God in your life and listen for His voice when it comes to big decisions.

A miracle may not happen at your doorstep, but you can count on God to give you the tools to make it happen. There are a few things that you can do to prepare for a miracle, including praying and reading your Bible regularly, and taking the steps God shows you.
